Pudina Coconut Chutney
Ingredients
Pudina leaves -1/4 cup
Grated coconut -1 cup
Green chillies -5
Chana dal -1 tbsp
Cumin seeds -¼ tsp
Coriander leaves - few springs
Oil -2 1/2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves -few
Salt to taste
Water as per required
Method
Heat oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds, let them crackle. Add cilantro, green chilies and pudina and fry for 3 mts. Remove from heat and let cool.
2 Grind the sauted pudina, grated coconut, roasted Chana dal and salt to the paste. Add a few tablespoons of water while grinding.
3 Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and let them crackle. Add the split gram dal and allow them to turn red, add curry leaves .pour it to the chutney
serve with Idli or Dosas
