Aloo Matar Paratha


  • Wheat flour  -2cups
  • Carom seeds -2 tbsp
  • Potatoes -2(boiled)
  • Green peas (matar) -1 cup
  • Onion- 1/2 (chopped)
  • Garlic -1 tbsp(chopped)
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Red chilli powder -1/2tbsp
  • Cumin powder-1/4tbsp
  • Coriander powder- 1/4tbsp
  • Chaat masla -1/2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • water as required
  • Oil


Take flour, carom seeds,oil, salt in a bowl,add enough water and knead into a soft dough.Keep aside for 20minutes. 

Heat  oil in a non-stick pan and add the garlic and saute till it turns golden brown.Add the onions and green chillies and saute for 2 minutes.Add the chilli powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder and salt and saute for 1/2 minutes.

Add the potatoes, green peas and chaat masala and saute for 2 minutes.Add the coriander and remove form the flame.Remove in a plate to cool. When cool.divide into equal portions, Shape into small balls.

Divide the dough into equal portions and make pedas. Roll each part into a three-inch disk, place a stuffing ball in center, Gather edges together in a thick paratha.

Heat a tawa and cook  paratha, using little oil until golden brown spots appear on both sides

Serve hot with Pickle or Curd
