Lachha Paratha


  • Wheat flour  -2 cups
  • Ghee - 8tbsp 
  • Milk -3tbsp
  • Water as per required
  • salt to taste


Combine  wheat flour, 1 tablespoon of ghee, milk and salt, mix well and knead into a soft dough using enough water.keep side for 20 minutes.

Divide the dough into equalportions and shape into balls. Roll each ball into a thin round roti. Brush entire surface of each roti with a tablespoon melted ghee and sprinkle with flour.

Folds the roti to make a number of folds. Roll into a spiral. Press your hands and set aside for five minutes. Spread lightly in a paratha. Heat a tawa, cook each paratha on both sides over medium heat.

Pour some ghee around and shallow fried paratha until both sides are golden. Slightly crush the paratha with your hands to separate the layers. Serve immediately.
