Carrot Paratha
Ingredients:
- Wheat Flour -1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Carrot -1 cup (Grated)
- Coriander Powder -1 tsp
- Cumin Powder -1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala -1/4 tsp
- Carom Seeds -1/4 tsp
- Turmeric Powder -1/8 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder -1/2 tsp
- Coriander Leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Method
- Take wheat flour, salt and a tablespoon of oil in a bowl and mix well.
- Gradually add water and knead until a soft dough.Cover the dough and keep aside for 30 minutes.
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet. Add the carom seeds and fry them for a few seconds .
- Add grated carrot and fry for a couple of minutes.
- Add coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt and red chili powder and mix well.
- Sprinkle a little water and cover it with a lid.Cook until soft and well cooked.Open the lid and cook until it becomes dry.
- Add the coriander leaves and combine.Let it cool completely.
- Divide the dough into equal portions prepared and set aside.
- Divide the stuffing carrot into round balls and set aside.
- Roll each ball of dough into a thick circle, place the stuffing core ball in the center and bring the edges together and seal it.
- Sprinkle a little flour on the board and roll into thin paratha.
- Heat a pan / tawa. Carefully place the paratha on a pan
- Pour a little oil and cook the parathas on both sides until brown spots appear.
Serve hot with plain curd / raita and pickle.
