Peanut Coconut Chutney

Peanut Coconut Chutney


Peanuts - 3/4 cup
Grated coconut -1/4 cup
Red chillies - 4-5
Tamarind - little
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard - 3/4 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Water as per required


Roast the peanuts and remove its skin to some extent.

In a jar add peanuts, coconut, red chillies, tamarind and salt with little water first.Then add more water and grind it to a slightly smooth paste.

In a pan heat oil for seasoning (tadka), add mustard seeds,urad dal and curry leaves. when mustard splutters,  pour it over the chutney

Serve  Chutney Idli, dosa or upma.
